Earth Element Designs has been a vision of San Diego landscape designer, Jack Sellinger, since discovering the joy of working with plants as a young adult. Working in the horticultural industry and finding a passion for the world of plants eventually led to earning a degree in Environmental Horticultural Studies at Cal Poly of San Luis Obispo.  

           After gaining a few years of experience in the landscape construction industry,  Jack became a co-owner of a San Diego based landscape design-build firm, GFG Landscaping, Inc.. In addition to assisting with the operations of the construction division, he became the company's principle landscape designer for over 10 years, developing the knowledge and experience needed to plan, construct and maintain custom landscapes.  During that time, Jack was recognized for his custom design work within local publications and events, most notably from San Diego Home & Garden Magazine for a contemporary landscape in La Jolla.

           With the support of his wife and two daughters, Jack moved on to create Earth Element Designs in 2015. He soon realized the importance of being able to focus all of ones skills, knowledge and energy necessary to excel at one important phase of the landscaping process.
